From January 14 to 21, 2019, Associate Dean Guiping Huand colleague Jianhong Lv from the Admissions Office of School of International Education went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Colombo, Sri Lanka to carry out a new round of admissionscampaigns.

They met and shared latest admissions information of the year 2019 with the Malaysia Alumni Association, One Belt One Road Association and Malaysia Construction Association. They also attended the opening ceremony of SCUTInternational StudentsBase. At the same time, they visited Zunkong Independent Middle School and Seri Kembngan National Middle School in Kuala Lumpur, and Introduced SCUT admissions information for international students.

Our representatives also participated in the largest overseas education exhibition in Sri Lanka. The education exhibition has been successfully held for 15 consecutive years and has attracted universities from France, Germany, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Russia, India and other countries around the world. Our university participated for the first time and is the only university in mainland China. The education exhibition lasted three days and attracted a large number of Sri Lankan students to consult. For a long time, the destination countries of Sri Lankan students to study are mostly developed countries such as Europe, America, Australia and Japan. How to successfully attract international students to study in China is a new challenge and opportunity we face.

This visit has enhanced the educational cooperation and exchange between our university and Malaysia and Sri Lanka, and laid a good foundation for further developing international students enrollment and carrying out new cooperation projects.
