On 2020, March 10, 1500 masks raised by PHAN THI HANG, who is a Vietnamese and graduated in 2008 with Master Degree of Communication Studies at SCUT, were finally sent from Vietnam to SCUT campus after many difficulties. When talking about the donation of masks, alumni PHAN THI HANG played down her efforts for the last few days. She repeatedly said that her little help was not worth mentioning compared with the rush of all sectors of society to Wuhan and the assistance of other alumni to SCUT. She just wanted to do what she could for China and the School. Due to the continuous impact of the epidemic, the local mask prices in Vietnam have also increased continuously, and many logistics companies have also continued to stop shipping to China. The process of raising and sending was not smooth. After several days of hard work, PHAN THI HANG contacted the logistics company and relevant departments many times before and after, and finally ensured that the mask was sent directly to the School.

Donated Masks
In the current special period, when 1500 masks are held in our hands, we feel the heavy love and endless blessings of international students and alumni to China and their Alma mater. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, many international students and alumni of SCUT have spoken and wrote messages to cheer for China and Wuhan! Today, alumni PHAN THI HANG has put into practice the spirit of a community with a shared future for mankind with her practical actions, adding a heavy color to the friendship between China and Vietnam.
