On the afternoon of March 30, Hanoi Open University of Vietnam short-term internship program opening ceremony was held successfully in B1-314 of SCUT’s south campus. Ruan Guoyue, a teacher from the Chinese department of Hanoi Open University, Prof. Hu Yongjian, Deputy Dean of School of International Education, and staff from admissions office and academic affairs office attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by 26 students from the Chinese department of Hanoi Open University.

Prof. Hu Yongjian opened the ceremony with a welcoming address. Well-wishes for a pleasant visit to China were extended to the students with an encouragement for them to study hard but at the same time to participate in social activities to increase their understanding of SCUT and Guangzhou. Student representative Fan Shiheng then gave a speech in which she expressed her excitement towards the program and added that she, together with her classmates, looked forward to a wonderful study and life experience in the coming month on SCUT’s beautiful campus. At the opening ceremony, Prof. Hu Yongjian also gave school badges to all of students and congratulated them on being members of South China University of Technology.

After the opening ceremony, group photos were taken and a tour of the south campus was made. They will study for one month at South China University of Technology.
