Research Interests: Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Chinese Lexicology and Grammar, Semantics, Language and Society, Corpus Linguistics 

Teaching: Primarily engaged in teaching Chinese language (Mandarin) to international students in China. Have taught common Chinese courses including Intensive Chinese, Extensive Chinese, Spoken Chinese and Listening, and some CSP (Chinese for Special Purposes) courses including Scientific Chinese and IT Chinese. Additionly have taught courses in Educational Psychology in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, and An Introduction to Chinese Literature and Culture to postgraduates majoring in International Chinese Education and Communication. Have worked for the Confucius Institute in the UK for two years.
