On October 26th, The second session of Charming Guangdong, Lifting My Dream: International Students Gala Working Committee was held in SIE. Vice-Chairman of the Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association, Wu Ruicheng, Secretary General Chen Zhishi, Secretary General of Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange Li Jinjun, Deputy Secretary General of Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Wu Subing and representatives from Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Southern Medical University, Guangdong University of foreign studies, Shenzhen University, Nanfang Daily, Guangdong TV stations were present to the meeting.

Deputy Director of the committee, Dean of SIE Professor An Ran introduced the recent preparatory work, including the work of design, assessment, organization to the participants at the meeting, and discuss with representatives about the details of the activity to determine the final arrangements of scene monitoring, school scheduling and other work. The related universities also reported the preparations of their performances, Guangdong Friendship Association said they would do the reception work of all the leaders and officials well, representatives of the media said they would fully follow the arrangements. Director of the committee Wu Ruicheng said that at present all the preparatory work is gradually improved. He would like to express his gratitude to all the representatives, especially South China University of Technology. And he also hoped each unit could attach great importance to to the activity to provide a platform for foreign students understand Chinese culture, which is the objective of this activity. After the meeting, the delegates also rushed to Academic Forum to discuss about the design of the place.
