Hu Yongjian received his Ph.D. in Communication and Information Systems from South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2002. He now serves as Deputy Dean for SCUT’s School of International Education. He is also a professor in the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at South China University of Technology.
From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Hu was Marie Curie Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, University of Warwick, UK. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a research professor in the Department of Computer Science, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a research professor in the School of Information and Communication Engineering, SungKyunKwan University, South Korea. And, between 2000 and 2004, four times he visited the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant, Senior Research Associate, and Research Fellow.
Dr. Hu has been a senior member of IEEE since 2009. He is also a senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), and a senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF). He has published more than 60 peer reviewed papers since 2000. His research interests include multimedia security, machine learning and its applications.
