On March 24th, 2017, the International Student Union and the Oversea Culture Development Association came together to organize a rich cultural exchange experience focusing on the ancient Chinese art of calligraphy.

International students paired with Chinese students after a short presentation about the history and uses of Chinese Calligraphy. Each pair of students were provided with ink, brushes and paper, all the tools needed to practice their new skill.

The Chinese students helped the international students learn the various strokes and techniques involved in Chinese calligraphy and at the end of the event, all students were able to write some Chinese characters using the skills they had learnt.
