On the morning of February 24, Dean Wu Yanchu, Dean Chengzhen, together with a delegation from the School of International Education of Wuhan University came to visit SCUT. Dean An Ran, Dean Liu Cheng, Dean Yang Haosong, Professor Cao Shanqing, and Director of Student Affairs Feng Li received the honored guests and attended the symposium.

Dean An Ran began by expressing her warm welcome to the visitors from Wuhan University and introducing SIE’s organizational structure, construction, and development. At the symposium, the two sides discussed issues related to quality certification of international students studying in China; particularly, the quality standard of personnel training, psychological crisis intervention of international students, teaching management for international student, and income distribution management and incentive mechanisms of students and mentors. SIE staff shared their successful experiences of “international students study in China” quality certification (?) After the symposium, the honored guests from Wuhan University visited the Multicultural Gallery and the International Student Counseling Center. They were particularly interested in the psychological counseling situation of international students and the construction of psychological counseling facilities. SCUT’s psychological counseling endeavors for international students was highly affirmed.
