On May 31st, 2015, a delegation led by Prince Nagibu Jr., Malaysia, visited School of International Education at B1 International Education Building. Six members of the delegation are from Malaysian Association of International Relations in Education and Social Transformation. Dean An Ran, Deputy Dean Hu Yongjian and Project Manager Zhou Wenfei Zhou who is from Admission Office hosted the delegation.
Firstly, Dean An welcomed Prince Nagibu Jr. and the delegation to visit School of International Education and the Multicultural Gallery of International Students SCUT. During the meeting, Dean An made a general introduction of history and development of SCUT, its characteristics of talents cultivation as well as International students cultivation and scholarship system. Dean An highlighted that SCUT was interested in recruiting international students from Malaysia and would like to establish cooperation with universities in Malaysia through Malaysian Association of International Relations in Education and Social Transformation. Prince Nagibu Jr. pointed that China and Malaysia are much closed with each other and have established several cooperation in different area, especially the cooperation in education is important. Two parties have reached multiple agreements on the intention of establishing more cooperative programs, including scholarship program, exchange program and etc.
After the meeting, the current international students from Malaysia communicated with the delegation and shared their studying and living situation.
